American Friends of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation cordially invites you to a virtual Humboldt Dialogue on the state of democracy across the Atlantic.
This program will feature three eminent voices:
- Julia Elad-Strenger, Professor of Social and Conflict Psychology, Institute of Psychology, University of the Bundeswehr, Munich and Department of Political Studies, Bar Ilan University, Israel
- Kathryn Stoner, Mosbacher Director, Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law, and Senior Fellow, Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies, Stanford University
- Michael Werz, Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations and a Senior Adviser for North America and Multilateral Affairs to the Munich Security Conference
The session will be moderated by Šumit Ganguly, American Friends Board Member, Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, and Director of its Huntington Program on Strengthening US-India Relations.
This timely exchange will explore the forces shaping democratic resilience and the challenges confronting democratic institutions in both the United States and Germany.
